Recover Forgotten Android Security Lock Pattern

1:05 PM

I got so many querry on how to reset / recover Android Security Lock Pattern after fogetting it. So in total there is 2 ways to recover Android security Lock pattern. One is with Gmail Id & Password & the latest one is the Update.zip method.

After trying 5 continous wrong attempt to Unlock any device , all Android device for security reason goes to temporary Lock mode for 30 secs. But after tooo many attempts it goes to permanent Lock mode.

There is a way which is know by all to recover Android device from such permanent Lock mode is by using associated Gmail ID & Password. So first I am describing that simple method , if it worked then good & if not then try the 2nd method.

1 ) Method of Unlocking Device after Fogetting Pin

  1. After Trying 5 times with Wrong Pin
  2. Continue to enter the unlock pattern five times until you are prompted with forgot password (forgot pattern in some handsets) at the bottom right side of the screen.
  3. Now Click On “Forgot Pattern?”
  4. Tap on the Forgot Password option and you would be prompted to sign in with the existing Google or Gmail account information. You need to provide the ID when you first register or activated your phone. If you have that, it would be easy to get in for you and then change the unlock pattern (atleast by now you would be remembering your unlock pattern).
  5. Insert Associated Gmail ID & Password
  6. If this process doesn’t work for you try the 2nd Method
  7. Yipee! Done. End of First Method

2) Method of Unlocking Device after Fogetting Pin

  1. This is the latest technique / way to Unlock / recover / reset any Android Device.
  2. This Process doesn’t need to enter any gmail Id, password . even if you don’t have Gmail A/c then also this it will work. Just what you need to do is Flash a zip prepared by me (Andro-park).
  3. I will explain everything , I mean what is the technique hidding behind this zip. As you know cwm recovery can flash update.zip , & in every update.zip there is Updater script. Now with proper codding of update script anyone can delete , install , run , extract any files or data. so I just used that method to delte the stored Password.
  4. Gesture.Key & Password.key this are the two things where Android stores the used Pattern & Pin Password information respectivly. So with the help of a code & updater script we arranged anyhow to clear the information from those two files. Tested & Working fine all Gingerbread Device.
  5. Above are just informative text for those curious people like me, Now Coming into point.
  6. Put it in your Phone SdCard.
  7. Reboot To Recovery (Each & every device have seperate way to reboot into recovey, so if you don’t how to reboot to recovery, then leave your device name in comment section bellow, we will provide you the way)
  8. In Recovery select “Wipe the cache partition”
  9. Now select “Install Zip From Sdcard” and then select “apply /sdcard/update.zip”
  10. Reboot.
  11. Done . Enjoy Now
This method is tested & working in Gingerbread , hope it will work for you too.

Note: If this tutorial worked for you (and it should work), please leave a comment below. Thanks.
